About The Bridge-Between
Caroline Sullivan, O.P. founded The Bridge-Between Retreat Center in 1987 on the premise that retreats and spiritual opportunities are for all people, regardless of their economic means. The Bridge-Between offers more than retreats. We are a home away from home, a place to connect with Earth, a place to learn how to bake bread and can home-grown produce, a place to join in community around the table, and a place to connect with your true self. Our vision is to grow an intentional, self-sustaining community providing one-stop access to wholeness, sustainability, spirituality, and organic farming. The Bridge Community--here and away-- is made up of staff, retreatants, volunteers, animals, friends, families, and you!
This video is a beautiful representation of who we are and what we do at The Bridge-Between. It was created by a group of 15, 16, and 17 year olds from Oakpark, IL who volunteered at The Bridge-Between Retreat Center in June 2011. They grew here for a week by working with the garden and gaining knowledge about sustainable agriculture, living in community, and walking lightly on Earth. We are so grateful for their time here, and for this fabulous video they created for us.
